#11 - Lest We Forget

As the title suggests, we dedicate some of this podcast to honouring our service men and women through the thoughtful words of Ella, Phoenix and Cooper. 

We talk to our Year 2 teachers, where we discover that one of them has eaten tomato sauce on ice cream (yuck!) and that one of them accidentally caused a snowstorm in her classroom this year. Finola and Eden of 5/6A share some of their individual successes, and the very first Year 6 memoirs go live! 

#10 - Trick or Treat?!

This week we're introduced to lots of exciting new features; a regular Fair Play Sports Report, a fortnightly update on the Specialist Points Ladder and best of all, 'Live From the Container', where we hear from Grant about all the grounds updates at Wembley. 

Along with all this, we hear from the Year 4 teachers and chat to the students about Halloween! 

#9 – Small Matters

This episode’s features include the Year 2s talking about their visit to Scienceworks, the Year 6s reflect on their Film Night at the Sun Theatre in Yarraville, while Miss Ruth explains the latest update to the specialist points system. 

Our reporters ask Wembley’s student body whether or not student requests for their new class are a good thing or not, and Mitch and Luc keep us in the loop with some upcoming dates and events to put in the diary.

#8 – Welcome Back!

Just a mini-episode to bring you up to speed with the happenings of Term 4 so far, and let you know when our first proper episode will be this term.

#7 - It's a Jungle Out There

No prizes for guessing what the feature story of this episode is! The musical was a huge success, and so we take one last look at the performances and celebrate this achievement for Wembley. We also talk to Mrs Jones, who is holding the fort whilst the Principal is away on his travels, and this week it’s the Grade 5 teachers who face our interview panel.

This is the final episode for the term, so we’ve packed it full to the brim, with as many stories as we can from weekly Wembley life!

#6 - Green Thumbs at Wembley

That’s right, Wembley has a Gardening Club and you can hear all about it on this week’s episode. Our teacher interviews are with the Grade 1s, where we learn why Mr Hart is the king of dad jokes. We also speak to our Hoop Timers and some of last year’s Maribyrnong Writers competition winners.

#5 - Three Is a Magic Number: Numeracy Week

The lesser known sibling of Literacy Week takes it’s place in the limelight in this episode, alongside the musical. We talk to our maths guru, Mr Chig; and some of Wembley’s own human calculators give us the low-down on Maths Olympiad. The lead cast of ‘It’s a Jungle Out There’ share their experiences after giving us a sneak peak at some of the songs. Then, thrown in for good measure, is a sports report on the Netball Championships and of course, we couldn’t forget Fathers Day!

#4 - Escape to Everywhere: Literacy Week

With literacy being in the spotlight this week, we talk to our Leader of Learning in English, take a look at what happens during an author visit and get the run down of the week’s special activities. We also learn about STEPtember and talk to some students who are competing in the snow.
